A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Buyer to join their growing team in Leeds.

The main objective of the role will be to support a Senior Buyer in delivering various regional infrastructure projects.

• Manage the day to day project procurement of materials.
• Conduct tenders and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Work with operational project teams to deliver procurement requirements.
• Ensure savings, rebates and compliance are achieved in line with project strategies.

The role is working on various regional civils projects across road, rail and utilities.

You'll be looking after civils materials packages and some minor subcontract packages.

Candidate Requirements

Our client is looking for candidates with 3+ years' materials procurement experience from any sector.

You'll have experience of working in a project based environment.

Ideally you will currently be working as Buyer or an experienced Assistant Buyer looking for a step up.

Subcontract experience is desirable but not essential
