Job title: Avionic Supervisor

Location: RAF Coningsby

Salary: £44,096+ depending on skills and experience. Also opportunities for Shift Pay.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Performing detailed maintenance, inspection, and supervisory tasks on Typhoon aircraft or aircraft components, ensuring all work is completed in line with relevant approved technical documentation. Diagnose and resolve faults and maintenance issues, including configuration management

Overseeing maintenance tasks carried out by skilled personnel in accordance with approved data and toolsets, providing the appropriate levels of supervision and oversight. Ensuring accurate documentation for all maintenance activities and promptly addressing any issues with relevant business areas

Leading and managing the combined team workforce on a day-to-day basis, ensuring full compliance with Company Policies, Quality Management, Health & Safety, and Environmental Protection standards

Supporting and promoting career growth and personal development of team members while fostering an open, honest, and collaborative working environment within resource and task constraints

Ensuring all deliverables meet required airworthiness standards, prioritising flight safety and full compliance with the airworthiness framework

Demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach by fulfilling both technician and supervisory duties as needed, and supporting night and day shifts as required (with associated pay allowances)

Performing independent inspections, evaluating tasks, and compiling Job Inspection Certificates (JICs) as directed by the Team or Phase Leader

Your Skills and Experience:

Relevant industry or military equivalent apprenticeship completion/qualification (e.g City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent)

A minimum of 2 years recent Fast Jet aircraft supervisory experience within the aircraft maintenance environment

An experienced and competent leader in a maintenance environment

Strong knowledge and a solid understanding of quality procedures, processes, specifications, and Approved Maintenance Organisation standards (MAOS MIL Pt145)

Excellent team player and communicator with strong motivation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt and develop in dynamic situations

Typhoon Aircraft “Q” qualification

Strong knowledge of Depth Maintenance documentation

Comprehensive understanding of Typhoon avionics system

Knowledge of Resolve and raising System Enquiries

Join the Typhoon Maintenance Facility Team!

We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team at the Typhoon Maintenance Facility (TMF) at RAF Coningsby.

In this role, you will collaborate with the Royal Air Force (RAF) to undertake a key position in the maintenance, repair, and upgrade activities for the UK Typhoon fleet. This area is a key part of the TyTAN (Typhoon Total Availability eNterprise) Support Contract which is a long-term enterprise solution & strategically important partnership between BAES, DE&S and the RAF to focus on a single aim: achieving operational output for the Typhoon Force, with UK bases at RAF Coningsby and RAF Lossiemouth.

You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, on a Fast Jet aircraft platform, working directly alongside RAF & other highly skilled personnel to deliver maintenance activities.
