We are looking for a highly organized material planner to join a leading manufacturing company for a 3 month (ongoing) contract. In this role, you will manage production schedules, maintain inventory levels, and ensure timely procurement of materials and services. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in production planning and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities :
Production Scheduling : Create and manage production orders based on sales forecasts and business needs.
Inventory Management : Maintain accurate inventory levels for materials and parts, ensuring everything is available for production.
Pick List Generation : Prepare and issue lists for warehouse and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
Transaction Monitoring : Ensure all production and material transactions are accurately recorded in the MRP system.
Issue Reporting : Report any risks related to production or materials and work with teams to find solutions.
Continuous Improvement : Suggest and implement improvements to streamline processes.
KPI Reporting : Track and report on key performance metrics.
BOM Management : Keep Bill of Materials (BOM) data updated to support planning and forecasting.
Procurement Coordination : Work with the procurement team to ensure accurate and timely ordering of materials.
Engineering Change Management : Manage changes to BOMs and coordinate with relevant teams.
Project Updates : Provide status updates on material availability and project timelines.Qualifications :
Experience in material planning, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.
Ability to work well in teams and communicate effectively.
Familiarity with ERP / MRP systems, ideally Navision
