Job description

How would you like to get paid for five days, but only work four?

At Outcomes First Group, we believe in better work / life balance — and we’re putting wellbeing first.

That’s why we’re proud to be part of a 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial, where you can work one day less each week (or equivalent hours), while still receiving your full-time pay.

Many of our schools have already introduced the 4DWW — and others are preparing to roll it out as soon as they reach full staffing. So, whether it’s already in place or just around the corner, now’s the perfect time to join #teamOFG.

We are looking for an SEN Autism Specialist Teacher to join our new Options Autism School – Ashley Park School in Epsom, Surrey.

  • Up to £44,000 per annum, depending on experience ( not pro rata )
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Permanent, Term Time only
  • October 2025 start

UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship

As part of our continued growth in service, we are looking for a SEN ASD Specialist Teacher to join our amazing team at Ashley Park School in Epsom, Surrey.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Autism Specialist Teacher to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to play a key part in shaping the lives of pupils with autism and complex needs, helping them to achieve outcomes they may never have thought possible.

As part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will :

  • Deliver individualised teaching and learning that is adapted to meet each pupil’s specific needs, abilities, and EHCP targets.
  • Work with small classes and, at times, on a 1 : 1 basis, ensuring every pupil receives the attention and support they need to succeed.
  • Collaborate with Therapists, Teaching Assistants, and Support Staff to deliver a holistic approach that integrates academic learning with therapeutic strategies.
  • Plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, with a strong focus on English, Maths, and functional life skills, while also incorporating creative and practical activities.
  • Use a range of specialist strategies (e.g. visual supports, structured teaching, sensory regulation approaches) to engage pupils and promote independence.
  • Monitor, assess, and record progress, providing clear feedback to pupils, parents, and carers.
  • Create a classroom environment that is consistent, calm, and structured, supporting pupils in managing their behaviour and emotions positively.
  • Participate in staff training and development, sharing best practice and learning from colleagues across the Options Autism group.
  • Qualifications & Experience :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills (QTLS) is essential.
  • Secondary teaching experience preferred, but we are also open to applicants with a primary teaching background who can adapt their practice to meet the needs of our pupils.
  • Experience of teaching pupils with Autism and / or other Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum planning and assessment, with the ability to adapt teaching for a wide range of abilities.
  • Confident in using a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage and inspire learners.
  • Positive, resilient, and creative, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
