Job descriptionSenior Account Manager Hybrid (3 days in the office) | UK (Liverpool / Leeds) | Full-time At Velstar , we partner with ambitious brands to deliver high-performing commerce and digital experiences. As our client portfolio continues to grow, we’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to take ownership of key client relationships and help drive both exceptional service delivery and sustainable account growth. This is a pivotal role that sits between Account Manager and Account Director, ideal for someone ready to step up, influence strategy, and play a bigger role in shaping how we serve our clients. The role Reporting to the Client Experience Director, you’ll manage a portfolio of high-value client accounts, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted strategic partner. You’ll balance day-to-day account leadership with commercial thinking, ensuring work delivers against client objectives while identifying opportunities to grow and deepen relationships. You’ll also play an important role within the wider client team, mentoring Account Managers and contributing to better processes, insights and ways of working. What you’ll be doing Acting as the strategic lead and main point of contact for a portfolio of key client accounts Building strong, long-term client relationships based on trust, insight and delivery Overseeing the delivery of projects and retainers to agreed scope, timelines and budgets Identifying and driving upsell and cross-sell opportunities across your accounts Collaborating with internal teams and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality reports, proposals and strategic recommendations Supporting account planning, forecasting and commercial performance alongside the Client Experience Director Championing consistent use of the agency’s sales playbook and HubSpot processes Providing informal mentorship and guidance to Account Managers Delivering clear, confident performance updates and presentations to clients and internal stakeholders What we’re looking for You’re a confident, commercially aware account professional who enjoys owning relationships and being accountable for outcomes. You’re comfortable juggling multiple accounts, navigating complexity, and spotting opportunities others might miss. You’ll likely have: Proven experience managing and growing client accounts within an agency or similar environment Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including senior client contacts A solid understanding of digital delivery, reporting and performance metrics Commercial confidence Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot ideally) and structured sales processes A collaborative mindset and willingness to support and mentor more junior team members Why Velstar?
