Due to the ongoing growth of our sustainability services we are looking for a Sustainability Consultant to join our highly influential built environment Sustainability team in either Bristol or London to support and provide specialist input with developing low carbon, sustainable solutions for a range of projects from organisational strategy to urban regeneration projects and strategic new settlements. You'll be an integral part of our collaborative and growing team, playing a key role in the development and delivery of a pipeline of exciting and complex projects.

About you

Your role will include :

Work closely with our project teams, guiding current development schemes in relation to environmental sustainability and carbon management;

Embed net zero principles and climate resilience into developments;

Undertake carbon and wider sustainability assessments on a range of a projects. These will include Energy Strategies, Sustainability Statements and Whole Lifecycle Carbon Assessments;

Assist with our bids for future work;

Assist with the carbon / energy element of organisational sustainability strategy development supporting our top clients to achieve long-term sustainable growth;

Undertake research to assist with the development of innovative new services;

Produce high quality written reports;

Prepare thought pieces and blogs within your area of expertise;

Assist with internal and external presentations; and

Attend site visits and project meetings.

It is likely that you will :

Have experience with Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) and Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) calculations and be familiar with OneClick LCA software;

Have knowledge of Overheating Assessments and Circular Economy principles;

Have a relevant degree at 2 : 1 or above and membership of a relevant professional institution;

Have a good knowledge of the planning system;

Broad understanding of environmental, social, economic and sustainability trends and drivers;

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Be able to build relationships with a range of stakeholders

Have an ability to manage your own time and workload;

Be proficient with Microsoft packages particularly Excel; and

Hold a full UK driving licence and are willing to travel nationally.
