Adult Social Care Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist Adult Social Care Local Authority located in Hackney

Contract : Full-time | Initial 3–6 months with potential for extension

A local authority located in North London is looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a well structured team.

Main Duties :

Experience required working with Adults

Reviewing care packages and provision of moving and handling equipment.

Complete Care Act assessments

Conduct community assessments in a local authority setting, identifying needs and recommending both standard and specialist equipment.

Plan and facilitate minor and major adaptations to enhance safety and functionality within clients’ homes.

Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to create individualized support plans

Assess individuals and carers with complex needs in the home environment

Recommend and coordinate equipment and adaptations

Undertake manual handling assessments

Work in line with safeguarding procedures, promoting dignity and respectRequirements :

Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience

Previous experience as a community-based Occupational Therapist

Manual handling expertise

HCPC Registration

Enhanced DBS / CRB (we can assist)

Eligibility to work in the UK

Must have own vehicle and full UK driving licenceBenefit

Hybrid working – occasional office visits only
