DSL-Datastor Group is a leading provider of advanced automation and control solutions, trusted by nearly 200 manufacturing sites worldwide, ~70% of which are in the UK & Ireland, ~20% of which are in North America, and ~10% of which are spread across the rest of the world. While we are a long-established partner to the animal feed industry, our software is increasingly powering other sectors too, including paint, coatings, and industrial fluids. A critical part of the value we deliver is ensuring our software integrates seamlessly with customer ERP and reporting systems. This work, led by our specialist Software Integration Engineers, combines support for legacy products with a forward-looking focus on modern, API-driven and model-based integration solutions.
We are seeking a Software Integrations Engineer to join our high-performance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated developer to take on complex technical challenges while positioning yourself for long-term professional growth. You will work closely with an experienced mentor. This mentorship, together with exposure to key projects, will give you the scope to take on increasing responsibility for integrations, databases, and system interfaces within the company. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy integration solutions that connect our automation platforms with customer ERP and business systems. You will play a central part in modernising our integrations, particularly through the development of API-driven solutions, while also providing support for legacy systems where needed. Collaborating with engineers across our two UK offices in Nottingham and Congleton and working directly with customers, you will tackle technical challenges that bridge software engineering with real-world manufacturing processes, while contributing to a team that embraces innovation, including the use of AI tools in development workflows.
We are seeking a self‑motivated developer who thrives on solving integration challenges and working directly with customers. You should be highly adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities, and eager to learn about automation software from a control engineering perspective. Strong communication skills—whether face‑to‑face, over video calls, or via email—are essential, as is a willingness to take ownership of projects in a collaborative setting.
