Bellerby & Co Globemakers is seeking a Junior Watercolour Painter to join its renowned team of artisan globe-makers. Salary : £25,000–£30,000 pro rata (part-time, permanent). Working within a specialist studio, you’ll paint bespoke, hand-crafted globes using refined watercolour techniques, ensuring colour consistency and adherence to the company’s distinctive visual style. This role offers in‑house training, but requires strong aesthetic judgement, patience, and meticulous precision. You’ll collaborate with cartographers, globe‑makers, and fellow painters while managing detailed, repetitive work under studio time pressures. An ideal role for someone with a deep love of maps, craftsmanship, and fine detail.

Strong technical experience with watercolours

Excellent colour theory knowledge and colour‑matching skills

Meticulous attention to detail and steady hand control

Ability to manage repetitive, intricate tasks with patience

Strong organisation, prioritisation, and communication

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Calm focus under time pressure and in a busy workshop environment

Closing date : 12 Dec Salary :

£25,000–£30,000 pro rata (part-time, permanent)

This is an in‑house, part‑time position (3 days per week) - 9am - 5.30pm.

Starting Salary : London Living Wage.
