Summary

• The Children & Family Hub Deputy Lead plays a crucial role in providing managerial support in the absence of the Children & Family Hub Manager and overseeing the extended services teams. This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and commissioning high-quality integrated services for children aged 0–19 (or 25 with SEND) and their families. The Deputy Lead collaborates with local partners, stakeholders, and parents to plan, deliver, and evaluate services that align with Hackney’s strategic direction and the national Family Hub framework.

Responsibilities

Essential Experience Required

Minimum 3 years’ experience in children’s services such as social care, early years, primary education, public health, or community development.

Experience providing line management, including appraisals and supervision.

Experience in project management and service development.

Essential Qualifications Required

Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in health, social care, education, early years, community work, or a related field.

To provide managerial cover in the absence of the Children and Family Hub Manager and line management of extended services teams. In line with the Core Purpose for Children and Family Hubs, develop, coordinate and commission, in partnership with stakeholders, quality integrated services for children aged 0-19 years (25 with SEND) and their families in the neighbourhood planning area to achieve long term changes in the outcomes for children and families.
