EK Outreach Services is a specialist provider of one-to-one teaching for students who are unable to access mainstream school environments due to medical, emotional, or learning difficulties. Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Religious Studies Teacher to deliver one-to-one lessons to students with diverse needs, including those with SEND. You will teach and support students who are unable to attend mainstream schooling, engaging with Religious Studies (and related topics) through tailored and accessible lessons. Lessons may take place in students\' homes, libraries, or other agreed locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver individualised Religious Studies lessons aligned with the student\'s level and learning objectives.
- Teach a range of topics at A-Level, or equivalent levels.
- Promote subject understanding, engagement and motivation in students.
- Adapt lesson content and teaching methods to support students with SEND and other learning challenges.
- Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
- Provide students with relevant exam preparation skills and help develop essay writing techniques.
- Maintain excellent communication and work collaboratively with pastoral teams to ensure holistic support for each student.
- Maintain thorough records of lessons and progress in line with educational requirements.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).Experience in A-Level RS on the AQA / Eduqas Specification is essential.Experience working with SEND students is highly desirable.Excellent knowledge of the Religious Studies curriculum and related topics.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students in a one-to-one setting.Flexibility to work in various locations, including students\' homes or other designated learning environments.A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).Why Join EK Outreach Services
