Cleaner – School Setting (Enhanced DBS Required)

Pay Rate : £12.21 per hour

Hours : 15 hours per week

Contract : Temporary – sickness cover

Start Date : 12 January 2026

End Date : 28 February 2026

Location : Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy , Broad Way, Pelsall, Walsall, WS4 1BW

The Role

We are recruiting Cleaners to work within a school environment, covering sickness absence. This is a fixed-term, afternoon role with consistent weekday hours.

Working Pattern

Monday to Friday

15 : 00 – 18 : 00

15 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas

Maintaining hygiene standards in a school environment

Safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment

Following site security and safeguarding procedures

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Enhanced DBS with barred list (or willing to obtain)

Ability to provide 3 years’ references

Proof of address and National Insurance number

Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a school setting

Previous cleaning experience preferred

If you don’t already have (or can’t pass) an Enhanced DBS, this role isn’t suitable.
