🌉 Infrastructure Engineer – Highways & Drainage
Location : Sheffield | Salary : £30,000 – £45,000 DOE + Benefits | Type : Full-Time, Permanent
We’re working with a respected, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Sheffield that’s seeking an ambitious Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. 🏗️ About the Role
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll take a key role in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects including highways and drainage systems for major developments. You’ll work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams, contributing technical expertise from concept through to construction.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Designing adoptable highways and drainage systems (S38, S278, S104, S206)
- Producing detailed design drawings and models using AutoCAD, PDS, and MicroDrainage / Windes
- Preparing technical reports and schedules for planning and construction phases
- Attending design meetings and liaising with clients and local authorities
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards
- Supporting and mentoring Graduate Engineers where required
- Coordinating with internal teams to deliver cohesive project outcomes
- Engaging in ongoing CPD and actively working towards Chartered status (if not already achieved)
🎓 What We’re Looking For
BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar)Previous experience working on infrastructure design projects within a consultancy settingStrong knowledge of adoptable highway and drainage design standards (S38, S278, S104, etc.)Proficiency with AutoCAD , PDS , and MicroDrainage / WindesExcellent communication skills and a collaborative attitudeChartered or actively working towards Chartership with ICE is desirable🌟 What’s on Offer?
