Salary : £30,000 to £40,000 (Based on teaching experience) Plus valuable Benefits

Teaching Personnel are excited to have the opportunity to work with an exceptional school based in Northampton. The school specialise in students at Key Stage 3 and 4 but must be at least 13 years of age. Many students have been diagnosed SEND / SEMH (or are awaiting diagnosis), and / or have been excluded from at least one mainstream school.

The School are looking for experienced and passionate SEN Teachers to join their alternative education community!

Key duties :

Contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, having regard to the educational, physical and social needs of the students within a learning environment.

Monitor, assess, review and report on the progress and work of students to parents, team members, senior staff, examination and funding bodies through reports and identified meetings as directed and as is required through school policies and procedures.

Maintain knowledge through training and research where appropriate and take responsibility for own professional development.

Develop lesson plans analysing and self-reflecting on the outcomes.

Contribute to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP and LAC reviews.

About you :

Core Teaching Qualifications :  Teaching Qualification in (QTS / QTLS) or be willing to work towards it.Specialist Teaching Qualification (Desirable)

Academic Background :  Degree in a Relevant Teaching Subject, equivalent for SEN (desirable)

Special Education and SEN Expertise :  SENCO Advanced Certificate (Desirable), Patoss AAA Course Completion (Desirable)

Teaching Subjects :  English, Maths, and Science Proficiency, a minimum of grade 4 / C or higher

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
