We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools across the Teesside area , including Stockton and Middlesbrough .
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) , helping them to access learning and reach their full potential within a nurturing primary school environment.
In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to support children’s learning. This may include one-to-one support , small group interventions , and assisting with classroom management and behaviour support .
The ideal candidate will be able to :
Work effectively as part of a classroom team, ensuring pupils are safe, supported, and engaged in learning
Provide 1 : 1 support for children with SEND
Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to support pupil progress
Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting children
Be enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable within the classroom
Have experience supporting children with additional needs or barriers to learning (such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, VI, HI )
Promote and encourage independence, confidence, and personal development
Experience that would be beneficial :

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
