Location : West London

Rate : £30 per hour (Umbrella)

A West London Local Authority is seeking an Interim Housing Advice & Homeless Prevention Officer to support resettlement schemes, including British citizens arriving from overseas territories such as The Chagos Islands.

The Role

Provide housing options advice on tenure, low-cost home ownership, and homelessness prevention.

Carry out statutory homelessness assessments and manage a varied caseload.

Support individuals and families with move-on options, referrals, and signposting to services.

Work alongside the resettlement support team at the Civic Centre.

About You

Experience in housing advice and homelessness prevention.

Skilled in casework and use of housing case management systems.

Strong knowledge of housing legislation, allocations, and choice-based lettings.

Confident in interviewing, assessing, and supporting clients in need
