Maternity Cover KS1 Teacher – January Start | Bury | Supply Opportunity

Are you a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 teacher looking for your next role? Our reputable education supply agency is currently working in partnership with a lovely primary school in Bury, seeking a KS1 teacher to cover a maternity leave starting January 2026.

Role Details :

Position : KS1 Maternity Cover Teacher

Location : Bury

Start Date : January 2026

Duration : Two terms (with potential extension)

Working Pattern : Full-time

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide feedback in line with school policies
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and fellow staff
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and carers
  • Contribute to the wider school life and uphold safeguarding standards

    • Requirements :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent experience teaching in KS1
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
