Picker / Driver

Overview

Picker / Driver role at Booker. Join as a permanent member of the delivery team as a Van driver with a mix of duties including picking for the delivery team and supporting the delivered operation to achieve first class customer service. A full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accurate picking and dispatch of goods by picking against a handheld terminal and advising the Manager of any differences.
• Check quality, shelf life and ensure packaging is robust in preparation for delivery.
• Provide a high standard of customer service by processing deliveries efficiently and to target.
• Provide first class service to customers when delivering their goods.
• Be polite when dealing with delivery staff and respond appropriately to queries and complaints, referring complex issues to a supervisor.
• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch and unload at customer premises; ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
