Job descriptionSource and procure construction materials, equipment, and plant hire from groundworks through to final finishes Build and maintain strong supplier relationships Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms Forecast material needs in collaboration with site and project managers Monitor deliveries, stock levels, and supplier performance Maintain procurement documentation and accurate records
Our client, a well-established design & build, fit-out, and refurbishment contractor with a turnover of £25M, is seeking a Buyer to join their team based near Halifax. Operating across a wide range of commercial projects valued between £100k and £9M, they have built a reputation for delivering high-quality work across the full construction lifecycle.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Buyer to work on a wide scope of procurement, from groundworks to final finishes, within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Please note this is an Office-based role.
Buyer - Benefits
- Salary : £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE, open to discussion)
