Teaching Assistant – Romford

Are you passionate about education and eager to help children grow and thrive? A welcoming and ambitious primary school in Romford is searching for a Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic, committed, and ready to play a key role in shaping young learners' futures.

Your Key Responsibilities :

  • Monday to Friday | 8 : 30am–3 : 30pm – Enjoy your evenings and weekends free!
  • Provide hands-on support in the classroom, helping children with their day-to-day learning.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson prep, resources, and activity set-up.
  • Offer tailored 1 : 1 or small group support to help pupils grasp key concepts.
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and inspiring learning environment.

What Makes You a Great Fit :

  • Strong verbal communication and the ability to connect with children.
  • Calm, patient, and ready to take on the day with a smile.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative school setting.
  • Prior experience in schools or childcare is helpful (but not essential!).
  • A current DBS on the update service , or willingness to apply.
  • Minimum Grade C / 4 in GCSE English and Maths .

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
