Overview

As Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at Heythrop Park, you will support the leadership and daily operations of one of our signature dining venues. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining brand standards, and fostering a high-performing team culture. In the absence of the Food & Beverage Manager, you will deputise and assume full responsibility for the department, ensuring continuity of service and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the dining venue, ensuring seamless service aligned with brand standards
  • Deputise for the Food & Beverage Manager during periods of absence, maintaining operational leadership and decision-making
  • Lead and motivate the team, promoting a culture of professionalism, warmth, and excellence
  • Collaborate with culinary and beverage teams to deliver memorable dining experiences
  • Engage with guests, resolving issues with empathy and urgency
  • Assist with labour management, stock control, and cost monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members
  • Uphold brand values and service ethos across all guest interactions

Candidate Profile

We’re seeking a confident, proactive hospitality professional with leadership experience and a passion for luxury service. You’ll be a natural host, a strong communicator, and a dependable deputy who thrives in a fast-paced, high-end environment.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a high-end restaurant, bar, or hospitality venue (ideally within a luxury hotel or resort)
  • Strong leadership and team engagement skills
  • Commercial awareness with experience in budgeting and cost control
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding guest satisfaction
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and brand standards
