About the Role
Opiate Recovery Coordinator to join the Waltham Forest Opiate Team. The role involves assessing and engaging with service users to ensure they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. The service operates as a dynamic, collaborative team including a service manager, medical professionals, nurses, recovery staff, volunteers, administrators, and peer mentors.
Location : Waltham Forest
Hours : Full Time, 37.5 per week
Salary : £27,861.26 – £32,002.35 (Dependent on experience, based on full-time hours; pro rata for part-time hours)
Allowance : £2,195.72 Outer London Weighting pro rata
About the Role
- Provide unwavering support to opiate service users from initial contact through treatment and recovery.
- Implement tailored interventions to reduce harm from opiate use, via group sessions or one-to-one engagement.
- Ensure service users receive a comprehensive, recovery-focused plan.
- Update service user risk assessments within required timeframes or as risk changes.
- Collaborate with other organisations and the community to enhance recovery resources by referring to mutual aid groups and networks.
- Advocate for involvement of family members, service users, and the community.
- Represent service users in accessing partnership services.
- Support social reintegration, promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
About You
Knowledge and experience delivering interventions for service users affected by opiate use.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficient IT abilities.Proactive, able to work independently with excellent time management and prioritisation.Strong understanding of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.Ability to adapt to change while prioritising service user needs.Commitment to information governance and safeguarding requirements.Desire for continuous learning and contributing to colleagues’ development.What We Offer
