Senior Full Stack JavaScript Consultant

Leeds (Hybrid - 2 days on-site)

Salary : Up to £80k + Benefits

The Role :

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack JavaScript Consultant to join a Leeds-based tech consultancy delivering modern, scalable applications for a variety of clients. You'll be a key contributor on projects, taking ownership of complex features, influencing technical decisions, and working closely with clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.

This role is ideal for a strong hands-on engineer who enjoys solving problems, writing excellent code, and contributing to technical direction without full delivery ownership.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain full stack JavaScript applications

Deliver high-quality, production-ready code across front and back end

Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and propose solutions

Contribute to architectural and design discussions

Promote best practices around testing, performance, and maintainability

Work within agile, cross-functional delivery teams

Mentor junior engineers informally through code reviews and pairing

Required Experience

Strong commercial experience with

JavaScript / TypeScript

Front-end experience with

React

or similar frameworks)

Back-end experience with

Node.js

Express, NestJS, etc.)

Must have experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)

Experience building and consuming

REST APIs

Solid understanding of modern engineering practices

Experience working in

agile or consultancy environments

Desirable Skills

Microservices or serverless architectures

CI / CD pipelines and DevOps tooling

Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders
