Location : Crewkerne, Somerset

Salary : £15,000 per annum (inclusive of accommodation & meals)

Contract : Permanent, Full-Time (term-time with InSET / training days)

We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading independent boarding setting in Crewkerne for a warm, organised and compassionate Residential Boarding Matron. You’ll live on site and play a key role in pupils’ day-to-day welfare, creating a homely atmosphere while ensuring high standards of care and safety.

Key duties include :

• Supporting pupils’ health, safety and emotional wellbeing.
• Assisting with induction and providing a sympathetic presence for new boarders.
• Managing laundry, clothing, and dormitory cleanliness.
• Organising snacks / treats and replenishing fruit bowls and water daily.
• Accompanying boarders to medical appointments.
• Keeping accurate records and attending boarding team meetings.
• Supporting first aid cover and helping with travel arrangements.

What we’re looking for :

This post involves safeguarding children and requires an Enhanced DBS check.
