Your New Role

You will be the Nursery Manager in Hove, leading the team to create activities in their rooms and forest school. You will support the children, use your initiative to help them succeed, and work closely with management to support the development and running of the nursery. You will take ownership of running the nursery in the manager's absence.

Key duties and responsibilities include :

• Be aware of and take responsibility for all aspects of health, safety and security.
• Oversee all children and manage key developmental stages, maintaining accurate observations, assessments and plans in line with the systems.
• Work in partnership with parents / carers to encourage open communication and involvement.
• Be an inspiring role model for children and set high expectations.
• Support, develop and motivate co-workers.
• Ensure compliance with the EYFS framework, policies and procedures.
• Ensure the curriculum is delivered to a high standard daily and that room colleagues are trained and competent.
• Oversee the running of the nursery and manage operations in the manager’s absence.

What You'll Need To Succeed

Essentials : Level 5 qualification in Early Years. Experience in a nursery / primary / pre-prep environment within the last 2 years with a verifiable reference. Clean enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain via nursery). Flexible and able to engage with children with a fun personality. Strong understanding of child development and positive behaviour management. Ability to lead day-to-day operations and supervise staff; lead staff training and development; create a safe and stimulating environment.
