Job description

We are looking for a talented and detail-driven Producer to join our Creative Services team on a 9 month FTC. Specialising in Waitrose packaging photography while also managing a variety of other creative production projects. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high quality photography shoots - from initial brief to final asset delivery - ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest creative and technical standards.

This role will see you work closely with clients, creative teams, photographers, stylists, and post-production specialists, playing a pivotal part in ensuring the creative vision is delivered while maximising efficiency and cost-effectiveness. While your main focus will be packaging photography for Waitrose product ranges, you will also produce wider content including editorial, campaign, social, and internal brand assets.

Responsibilities :

Packaging Photography Production :

  • Manage the end-to-end production process for Waitrose packaging photography, from interpreting briefs to asset delivery.
  • Ensure all imagery meets technical specifications, brand guidelines, and creative expectations.
  • Maintain accuracy in product representation, colour management, and styling to reflect Waitrose quality standards.
  • Liaise with designers, packaging teams, and Waitrose internal stakeholders to meet creative and commercial objectives.

Shoot Planning & Coordination :

  • Translate briefs into detailed production plans with timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising effectively.
  • Source and book photographers, studios, and prop stylists.
Attend all pre and post production packaging meetings.

    On-Set & Shoot Management :

  • Oversee shoots to ensure they run smoothly, stay on schedule, and meet budget requirements.
  • Collaborate with art directors and photographers to deliver the agreed creative vision.
  • Troubleshoot issues quickly to keep productions on track.
  • Post-Production & Asset Management :

  • Oversee retouching, colour correction, and quality control of all imagery.
  • Ensure assets are delivered to the correct technical specifications and on deadline.
  • Archive and organise photography assets for efficient retrieval.
  • Manage copyright and image rights clearances where necessary.
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience producing photography, ideally in packaging, FMCG, or high-volume retail.
  • Strong knowledge of photography workflows, lighting, and set production.
  • Excellent project management and multitasking skills.
Exceptional attention to detail in product presentation and brand consistency.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, balancing creative ambition with practical constraints.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop) and production scheduling tools.
  • Understanding of print production processes and packaging artwork requirements (desirable).
