Overview

Senior Mental Health Liaison Practitioner - Ward Senior Lead. This role works closely with the MHLT MDT and Acute Trust to assess, treat and safely manage patients on the wards at the MRI, ensuring best practice for MDTs and huddles, care and treatment, and supporting timely move on. The post holder will support building closer relationships between the ED and Wards and will be required to work across both at times. They will have supervision and PDR responsibilities, work on QI within the team, support governance processes by investigating complaints, incidents and delivering learning responses. They will support team performance of KPI's and individual supervisee performance as required. They will support maintaining the MHLT PLAN Accreditation.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat and safely manage patients on the wards at the MRI, ensuring best practice for MDTs and Huddles.
  • Support timely move on and develop closer relationships between the ED and Wards; work across both areas when required.
  • Provide supervision and PDR responsibilities; contribute to quality improvement (QI) within the team.
  • Support governance processes by investigating complaints and incidents and delivering learning responses.
  • Support team performance of KPIs and supervisee performance as required.
  • Support the maintaining of the MHLT PLAN Accreditation.
