HGV Workshop Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Workshop Manager to oversee and join our HGV workshop. This role requires somebody with strong leadership skills and has a drive to want to push our workshop progression. Our workshop is fast pace with no two days or repairs being the same!

Monday - Friday 8am-5 : 30pm

Every 4th Saturday 8am-12pm

Responsibilities

Manage daily workshop operations, ensuring efficient workflow.

Book and ensure all safety inspections and MOTs are complete in-line with our O Licence and DVSA Standards.

Assist and arrange roadside breakdowns.

Ensure all parts are ordered and billed to the customer at the correct price.

Monitor and mentor the Workshop Apprentices'.

Complete vehicle repairs.

Assist with any customer / invoice issues and queries.

Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner.

Requirements

HGV Mechanic qualifications (time severed will also be considered).

Good leadership and communication.

Basis computer knowledge (training will be given)

Class 1 licence / driving licence.

Workshop experience.

The ability to work part of and encourage a team.

Diagnose vehicle issues.

Pay will be discussed on interview and will be based on experience .
