Planning lawyers NQ – 1 & 2+ years’ PQE LONDON

Well-regarded Planning law team in London is looking to recruit two Planning lawyers – one of 0 to 1 and the other of 2 or more years’ PQE. The team is well known for its planning and compulsory purchase expertise and the reputation of its environment practice is growing. The team's reputation is built on its expertise in advising on major mixed-use development schemes, retail schemes, regeneration projects, high value residential schemes, landmark office developments as well as data centres, energy and infrastructure projects. Their services include providing strategic planning advice, dealing with all aspects of planning and infrastructure legal agreements, advising on environmental impact assessment, viability, promotion of compulsory purchase orders and compensation claims and inquiry, tribunal and litigation work, DCO advice and promotion of TWAOs. They also have an Environmental law team which works together with the Planning team and there will be opportunities for the successful candidates to work on Environmental matters. Responsibilities of the roles will include :

• Acting on complex development schemes and also advise on environmental legal issues, compulsory purchase orders or schemes requiring a DCO or TWAO
• Day-to-day responsibility for more straightforward matters and actively progress complex matters
• Assisting clients in arriving at practical and cost effective solutions
• Working with the business development team to develop business opportunities, as well as building and maintaining a network of business contacts.

If you are already qualified, you will currently specialise in Planning law. If you are newly-qualified you will have undertaken a seat in Planning law. Our client is keen to consider candidates with private practice law firm and / or local government / local authority experience.
