About the Role :
The Product Support Team provides specialist support across our Power Transmission range (couplings, belts, chains, motors, gearboxes and drive systems). The main focus of the Product Specialist Role is to :
Use product knowledge to provide advanced technical support for colleague and customers on Power Transmission products.
Interpret specifications and drawings to ensure correct product selection.
Respond to technical queries from the ERIKS network of branches and onsites, through the ERIKS EOS query system.
Liaise with suppliers to obtain technical input, and negotiate pricing.
Stay up to date with product developments and new technologies, through participation in product training.
Collaborate with, and support other colleagues within the Product Support Team.
Hours of Work :
08.30am - 5.30pm - Monday to Friday
40 hours per week
1 hour break
Key Skills, Experience & Requirements :
Strong technical aptitude – able to understand drives and power transmissions products, and read technical information.
Previous experience in a technical, engineering, or industrial distribution environment.
Proven experience of handling high volumes of customer / supplier queries and resolving them accurately.
Understanding of the ERIKS organisation and our supply chain role & process.
Understanding of our customers business and their operating challenges.
Competent with Microsoft Office, and experience of using ERP systems.
