1 : 1 Mainstream SEN Support Assistant – Runcorn

We're working with a fantastic, inclusive secondary school in Runcorn that's on the lookout for an experienced 1 : 1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Key Stages 3 & 4.

You’ll be supporting one student at a time—either in the classroom or in a separate space—helping them access the curriculum, regulate behaviour, and build confidence. It’s challenging work, but the kind that genuinely changes lives.

💼 What you’ll be doing :

Supporting students with SEMH and behavioural needs on a 1 : 1 basis

Helping them engage with GCSE-level lessons

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being

Working closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams

Creating a safe, consistent space where students can thrive

✅ What we’re looking for :

At least 2 years' experience supporting young people with SEMH or behavioural needs

Strong communication, calm under pressure, and emotionally intelligent

Confident building trust and rapport with pupils

Committed to safeguarding and inclusion
