1-1 Teaching Assistant - Reception (Castlefields, Runcorn)

Location : Castlefields, Runcorn

Contract : Part-time (8 : 30am - 12 : 00pm), with potential to increase to full-time

Start Date : Immediate start - long-term role

We are looking for a caring and committed 1-1 Teaching Assistant to support a female pupil in Reception with additional needs. This student is currently on a reduced timetable while she transitions from Nursery, so the role will begin on a part-time basis. Once a regular 1 : 1 Teaching Assistant is in place, the pupil will gradually phase into school full-time, increasing the hours for the successful candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child\'s early education journey, working in a supportive primary school in Castlefields, Runcorn.

The Role

• Provide dedicated 1 : 1 support to a Reception pupil with SEN, helping her settle and feel secure in school.
• Build trust and positive relationships to encourage confidence and engagement.
• Support her learning and social development, following strategies provided by the teacher and SENCO.
• Adapt activities to meet her individual needs, both academically and emotionally.
• Gradually increase hours in line with the pupil\'s transition plan, with the role likely becoming full-time.
