About the Role

We are seeking a patient, enthusiastic, and dedicated 1 : 1 Learning Support Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team in Portsmouth. This role involves working closely with a child in Year 2, providing tailored support to ensure they can access learning, build confidence, and make excellent progress.

Learning Support Assistant Key Responsibilities

As a Learning Support Assistant you will provide focused 1 : 1 support for a child in Year 2, adapting activities to meet their needs

As a Learning Support Assistant you will encourage positive engagement, independence, and resilience in learning

As a Learning Support Assistant you will work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised strategies and interventions

As a Learning Support Assistant you will Support the child's social and emotional development alongside academic progress

As a Learning Support Assistant you will build strong relationships with the child, their family, and professionals involved in their care

What We're Looking For in a Learning Support Assistant :

A Learning Support Assistant with experience supporting children in Key Stage 1, ideally in a 1 : 1 or SEND support role
