Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location : Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

The SRE Team

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) ensure high availability, stellar performance, and rich features for our users.

About the role

This is a hands-on role within the Software Engineering team. You will manage the SRE function daily, working closely with the Head of Engineering to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences.

You will review and drive our strategy on the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure, with a high degree of autonomy.

Key skills include :

• Site Reliability Engineering / DevOps / Infrastructure / Platform management
• API development and deployment using containerized environments like Kubernetes
• Implementing / enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
• Collaborating in an agile environment with stakeholders
• Leading, coaching, and mentoring teams
• AWS services, especially IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
• CloudFormation / CDK
• Experience with serverless computing
