Overview

Are you an engineering manager or technical manager with experience at large national house builders and on 150+ unit projects? This role offers a different path with clear progression to a technical director and the opportunity to run a key project and mentor a team of technical coordinators.

We are working with an exceptional house builder in Bristol that is expanding rapidly. They are looking to grow the technical team with an ambitious Senior Technical Manager to lead one of the key projects and manage day-to-day activities of a team of seven; with land acquisition, there will be opportunities to grow and develop your career.

You should have a civil engineering background or qualification, and a track record in managing complex house-building projects and engineering / infrastructure packages on housing sites within multi-phased production. If you are an ambitious and driven technical manager from a house-building background or an engineer from a consultancy, this role could be a fit. The role will involve managing a small team and upskilling colleagues as you bring additional skills to the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects through the full lifecycle of development stages, with high involvement in pre-commencement design and engineering work.
• Appointing and overseeing external consultants in engineering, architecture, and related areas.
• Work closely with land buyers to manage schemes post-acquisitions.
• Deal with onsite construction variation or design solutions.
