Job Title : School Administrator – Key Stage 5Location : Secondary School – DerbyJob Type : Full-Time, Term-Time Only (with potential for permanent role)Are you an experienced school administrator looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference at sixth-form level?We’re seeking a confident and highly organised Key Stage 5 Administrator to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Derby. This is a vital role at the heart of the school’s sixth form provision, supporting students and staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and the successful delivery of the KS5 curriculum.Key Responsibilities :

  • Exams Administration : Coordinate all aspects of internal and external exams at KS5, including liaising with exam boards, timetabling, invigilation support, and managing student data.
  • Student Support : Act as a key point of contact for sixth form students, supporting attendance monitoring, pastoral tracking, and general queries.
  • Data Management : Maintain accurate records and reports using school systems (SIMS or equivalent), including enrolment, assessment tracking, and UCAS applications.
  • Staff Support : Provide administrative support to the Head of Sixth Form and KS5 teaching staff, including organising meetings, preparing documentation, and minute-taking.
  • Communication : Liaise with parents, external agencies, and stakeholders regarding Key Stage 5 matters in a professional and efficient manner.Essential Experience :
  • Previous experience working in a school administrative role, ideally within a Key Stage 5 or Sixth Form setting.
  • A strong understanding of exam processes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in school MIS systems (e.g. SIMS) and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
