Overview

Our aim is to deliver tasty, healthy, ready-to-eat products with a 12 month+ shelf life, in an innovative and affordable way, to redefine ambient convenience foods and the shopper aisle they’re housed in.

Job purpose

The Business Partner should “challenge & own” by being an active member of the business team’s influencing decision‑making, driving performance management discussions and taking ownership and responsibility for decisions. The Finance Business Partner should drive the Business P&L, with financial analysis and planning as the core responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility for finance business partnering with Commercial stakeholders.
  • Gain and maintain a deep understanding of strategic aims and the Operations to provide best in class finance support.
  • Lead discussions on savings, efficiency, and pricing for the business.
  • Undertake competition benchmarking and provide valuable insights to relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead monthly financial reviews with stakeholders and provide decision-making support to the Finance Manager.
  • Partner with the Finance Manager to facilitate managing and achieving financial targets and objectives.
  • Lead the finalisation of the budget process in line with the Company’s financial strategy.
  • Coordinate with relevant members to initiate changes to existing financial flows, document the same, and standardise across the group.
  • Provide analytical support and insight on Operations Performance to both Operations and Finance.
  • Use excellent organisational and planning capabilities to ensure internal and external deadlines are met.
  • Establish effective internal controls within the business and maintain an adequate level of internal control.
  • Coordinate statutory accounting submissions and Board papers.
  • Ensure compliance with UK finance laws, regulations, and legislation, including but not limited to :
  • UK GAAP / IFRS reporting standards
  • HMRC tax and VAT requirements
  • Anti-money laundering (AML) and anti-bribery legislation
  • Company law obligations under the Companies Act
  • Data protection and financial governance requirements

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Excellent IT experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Good multitasking and organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently to tight deadlines.
  • Education

    ACA, ACCA, and / or CIMA qualified

    Hours

    Monday - Friday

    9am-5 : 30pm
