Contract : Full Time, Term Time Only

Pay : £88 – £110 per day

GSL Education are working in partnership with a specialist provision in York to recruit a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs in a highly supportive and structured environment.

About the School

This specialist community provision supports students aged 4–16 with complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication difficulties, and associated social, emotional, and behavioural needs. The school offers a calm, nurturing and highly personalised approach to learning, with small class sizes, strong pastoral support and a focus on emotional regulation, independence and life skills. Staff work closely as a multidisciplinary team to ensure every learner is supported to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. You may provide 1 : 1 support or work with small groups, helping students to engage with learning, manage transitions and develop social and communication skills.
