Freedom Professional Services are seeking a Senior Primary Design Engineer to join our growing team and work on a variety of complex and challenging engineering projects, helping to deliver the UK’s Net Zero targets. Our projects span the complete energy system — from generation, transmission, distribution, and storage to load-end consumers in manufacturing, processing, data, and recycling.

This is a home-based role; however, you will be expected to attend nearby Freedom or NG Bailey offices in line with our hybrid working policy. The role will also require travel to other Freedom / NG Bailey offices and client sites across the UK, with overnight stays where necessary.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate :

• A strong history of teamworking, career achievement, and high-quality project delivery.
• Relevant work experience in the sector.
• The ability to draw on professional networks to gain insights, identify new work opportunities, secure third-party support, and obtain peer reviews.
