This brand-new role is being created due to our ongoing expansion and represents a fantastic opportunity to join us as we seek to embark on the next phase of our exciting growth plans.

Role and responsibilities

You will be joining and leading the Architectural Team that work within the company’s multi-discipline workforce including Building Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Highways, Civil & Structural and M&E Engineers. You will manage the Architectural Team and act as a lead consultant on larger projects, overseeing a range of smaller commissions, liaising with the client and co-ordinating the design team. I am looking for an ambitious leader who will be responsible for project delivery management including project-related fees, appointments, expenditure and appointment of third parties, so it will be vital to have strong client liaison skills.

• Lead the Architectural Team within Align’s multi-disciplinary workforce
• Act as lead consultant on larger projects
• Oversee a range of smaller commissions
• Liaise with clients and coordinate the design team
• Manage project delivery including fees, appointments, expenditure and third-party appointments

Projects, sectors and scope

Align projects are very diverse and span various sectors including leisure, historic buildings, refurbishments, care homes, housing, education, public and community buildings, regeneration and public realm. Every day is different with projects across all RIBA Plan of Work stages, ranging in value from £50k to £20m and beyond - recent projects include The Seam, Barnsley and Whitby Maritime Training Hub.
