Food Production - Team Leader

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for food manufacturing?

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Food Production Team Leader to join our growing team in Ashington. You'll play a key role in ensuring our production lines run smoothly, safely, and efficiently, delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production operatives to achieve daily targets

Plan and coordinate all production activities during your shift

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times

Monitor production output, quality, and efficiency, taking corrective action as needed

Liaise with colleagues in planning, technical, and supply chain departments

Maintain accurate production and personnel records

Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence

Ensure smooth handovers between shifts and effective communication within the team

Assist with training new staff and supporting team development

About You

Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment (essential)

Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team

Strong understanding of food safety and quality standards

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly

Flexible approach to working hours and tasks
