Make a Difference : SEN Driving Learning Mentor

Do you have a passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a full UK driving licence? Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real impact?

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Mentor to join one of our Plymouth schools within Transforming Futures Trust. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping young people with SEN gain skills and confidence in and outside the classroom.

About the Role :

• Provide tailored support to learners with SEN, both in the classroom and during practical driving lessons.
• Develop positive and trusting relationships with learners, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with driving instructors, parents / carers and other professionals to create personalised learning plans.
• Contribute to the assessment of learners' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of learner progress.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to cater to individual needs and learning styles.
