Senior Structural Engineer

We're working with a design-led structural and civil engineering consultancy-based Weybridge, looking to appoint a Chartered Senior Structural Engineer to join their close-knit team.

The consultancy operates more like a design studio than a corporate machine, 10 staff members, no red tape, and a portfolio that spans bespoke residential, heritage refurbishments, schools, retail and leisure, and occasional mixed-use schemes. Projects typically range up to £5 million, with affiliate involvement in developments up to £60-75 million.

This is a standout opportunity for an experienced engineer who values technical integrity, thrives in a hands-on environment, and still enjoys the craft of designing elegant structures.

You'll be reporting directly to the directors, taking ownership of technical delivery while mentoring junior staff and contributing to client-facing work.

Senior Structural Engineer Job Overview

• Lead structural design on residential refurbishments, extensions, new-builds, and occasional commercial / educational projects-typically £500k-£5m in value.
• Prepare structural calculations using Tekla and TEDDS, ensuring all designs meet current codes and standards.
• Oversee production of drawings in collaboration with in-house technicians or external drafts people; review and redline as needed.
