We’re in the process of hiring for a Lead Nurse / Service Manager to join the DMC Healthcare team working in the ENT Department on a contractor basis for 1 day per week. This is a remote role. We’re looking for someone with an enthusiastic, positive personality who has a keen eye for detail and who has prior experience. We’re looking for someone who has experience in managing relationships with the NHS Trusts we support and who is interested in supporting the Head of Operations in managing the operational and financial side of the contracts too, ensuring that we remain within our financial agreements and will support with any financial modelling or pricing requests that are necessary. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of ENT outpatients and surgery and will have the skills needed to write SOP’s, implement processes, and manage the ENT nursing team, with the support of the Clinical Lead for ENT and the Head of Operations. They’ll have excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills and must have the ability to actively problem solve. They must have the ability to manage their time and prioritise workloads, and the skills needed to use IT based clinical record systems used in the NHS.
The role
The Lead Nurse / Service Manager role is pivotal to the success of our ENT contracts at DMC Healthcare. They will be working alongside the Clinical Lead for ENT and the Head of Operations to ensure that everything from recruitment and HR compliance through to scheduling rotas and reporting is done to the highest standard possible, so that we can provide the frictionless service we promise to the trusts we support. It will be their responsibility to work closely with the clinical lead to make sure that DMC is operating as efficiently as possible when it comes to ENT. It will be the post holder’s responsibility to not only ensure efficiency with all of our ENT contracts, but efficiency at scale as we continue to grow and push the boundaries, as well as constantly reviewing how DMC can make improvements to its service. The post holder will need to deliver a weekly reports back to the NHS Trusts, outlining key metrics and data on performance and patient care delivered. It will also be up to them to manage and oversee any HR issues we come up against when carrying out our contractual obligations, ensuring anything that arises is dealt with swiftly and in line with our HR policies. It will be part of the post holder’s day to day to manage end to end operational governance. This will include reporting on patient survey results.
