Location : Porth, South Wales

Salary : £33,000 including benefits

Hours : 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday) on a permanent early shift

This is an opportunity to join a long-established UK packaging manufacturer, known for producing high-quality cartons for some of the nation’s best-loved brands across the confectionery, beauty, and healthcare sectors.

You’ll lead a skilled production team within a fast-paced Folding & Gluing Department, driving performance, quality, and continuous improvement across all operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and motivate a small, skilled team to achieve quality and output targets

Oversee the daily setup, running, and maintenance of folding-gluing machinery

Provide hands-on operational support where required to maintain workflow

Work collaboratively with planning, quality, and maintenance teams to optimise efficiency

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organised working environmentWhat We’re Looking For :

Proven experience operating or setting folding-gluing machines

Previous leadership or supervisory experience within packaging or manufacturing

Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

A proactive, positive approach and commitment to continuous improvementWhat’s on Offer :

4-day working week (Monday to Thursday) – 6am-3.30pm – a 36 hour working week

Competitive pay and overtime rates, the first 4 hours of overtime are paid at time and a half, and double time after this
