This is a high-profile division and role at a time when procurement and supply chain management is a core strategic pillar within the Group and UK business. At a local purchasing team level we provide an effective vehicle ordering process through working collaboratively with dealerships, manufacturers, convertors. This is an outstanding opportunity for a proven Team Leader to take a hands on approach in managing this busy, established Bristol based team.
Key Purpose
- Lead and manage team to deliver stable and consistent performance in the core purchasing functions.
- Provide all team members with feedback and coaching to ensure individual competence and to improve staff and team performance
- Ensure a consistent high level of quality service standards are provided to internal and external customers
- Promote a culture of efficiency within the team, being able to challenge current ways of working, propose and manage implementation of tangible business improvements
- Collaborate with other operational teams to proactively look for ways to reduce handoffs and costs and improve customer satisfaction
- Minimise business and regulatory risks through rigorous control checks
- Effective management, clear communication, and professional liaison with all 3rd party relationships
- Support strategic change initiatives through to completion within business area
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day resourcing and workflow of the team ensuring productivity and SLAEnsure all team members have documented SMART objectives, regularly review individual and team performance targets, outputs and behaviours providing timely feedback.Maintain training and succession plans to develop, engage, and retain competent team membersEnsure that processes and procedures are reviewed regularly, documented and adhered toEnsure the department achieves all relevant compliance and regulatory activitiesProvide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting for team metricsExpertise and resolution of escalations. Mitigate volume, upskilling team members and escalate internally as appropriate.Skills, Experience & Background
Experience of managing performance, formally or informally, with a focus on both results and behavioursProven people management experience including feedback, coaching and performance managementExcellent time management, planning, organisational and delegation skillsHigh levels of professionalism and stakeholder management.Broad knowledge of UK regulated and finance industry and commercial awarenessAn ability to problem solving, seek solutions and process improvementProven experience in managing customer expectations and service delivery.Ability to influence others and manage difficult situationsWhat We Can Offer
