About the Role

Are you an experienced Class 1 Driver looking for a solid weekend role with excellent pay and long-term prospects?

We’re recruiting a Weekend Class 1 Shunter Driver to support our client’s busy operation across multiple local depots in the Huncoat area.

You’ll be responsible for moving trailers between sites, keeping everything running smoothly and safely. This is a calm, steady-paced job ideal for a driver who enjoys working independently and taking pride in doing the job right.

Once a month, there may be a trip to Heysham or Liverpool Docks, providing a bit of variety in your weekend routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Shunting trailers safely and efficiently between local depots.
• Completing accurate records of all trailer moves.
• Carrying out vehicle and trailer checks before each movement.
• Occasionally delivering or collecting trailers from Heysham or Liverpool Docks.
• Communicating effectively with warehouse and transport teams.

About You

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC, and Digital Tacho Card.
• Previous shunting or yard driving experience preferred.
• Comfortable working independently — you’ll be trusted to get the job done.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and professional.
• Able to work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (06:00–18:00).
