Job descriptionEssential : Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent (to be completed within 2 years of starting role if not already held). Safeguarding Children training. First Aid training. Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Food Hygiene. Desirable : Training in de-escalation and behaviour management (e.g., NAPI, PRICE, Team Teach, MAPA). Awareness of trauma-informed care and child development

Children’s Residential Support Worker
Purpose of Role :
To provide care, guidance, and support for children and young people living in residential settings, ensuring their safety, welfare, and development in line with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide day-to-day care for children and young people, including emotional and behavioural support.
- Promote independence, life skills, and positive outcomes for each child.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.
- Support children with education, health, and social activities.
- Follow individual care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding protocols.
- Record and report daily observations, incidents, and progress.
- Participate in team meetings and training.
- Work within Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.
