RE Teacher – Outstanding School – Surrey

An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Surrey seeks a dedicated and insightful RE Teacher to join their Humanities department. This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5). The school is committed to fostering understanding, respect, and critical reflection on diverse beliefs and values.

Responsibilities :

The successful RE Teacher will plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons exploring a range of world religions, belief systems, and ethical issues. You will encourage critical thinking, respectful dialogue, and the development of students' ability to analyze different perspectives. Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and contributing to the RE curriculum are key aspects of this RE Teacher role.

Requirements :

Applicants must be a qualified RE Teacher (QTS) with a degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field. Proven experience teaching RE at the secondary level is essential. A strong understanding of different religions and belief systems, excellent communication skills, and effective classroom management are required. We are looking for an inspiring RE Teacher .
