Job description

Seeking candidates interested in working in the recycling and environmental sustainability industry. This position will assist in the administration of all aspects of depot activities. Working in Hartlepool, the successful candidate will be part of a team working under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administration support to the site manager
  • Ensure site training matrix is maintained, arrange training for site staff when required
  • Working with head office colleagues on completion of audits for environment
  • Support with HR and EHS inductions for new employees and agency staff
  • Deal with incoming telephone enquiries and visitors to the site in a friendly and professional manner
  • Occasional Weighbridge cover as required, ensure the Company’s weighbridge procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Control site purchase order systems
  • Ensure site accounting records are kept accurate and up to date, and that reporting requirements for the Head Office Accounts Department are met
  • COTC cover for site and Hazard Waste control – reporting
  • Control purchases of consumables – PPE, stationery and office maintenance
  • Review key scale reports in site managers absence
  • Training of office staff on Navision, stocks etc.
  • Ensure load plans are completed on a daily basis.

  • Proven track record administration in an industrial operations environment
  • Strong IT skills comprising Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint - training will be given on Company specific software systems
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and systems an advantage
  • Knowledge of weighbridge protocol and company reporting procedure an advantage
